The Chicago Westside Music Festival (“WSMF”) is an annual music festival that is FREE to the community! WSMF helps establish the West Side as a destination for music and summer festival fun, drawing audiences from both local and citywide communities.
In our inaugural year, the WSMF formed a partnership with the Chicago Park District, Parkways Foundation and received a grant from The Chicago Community Trust to support the development, planning and implementation of the WSMF.
WSMF was created to fill the void of cultural programming and outlets on the West Side of Chicago.
The Westside Cultural Foundation (“WCF”) was established in 2012 in an effort to create cultural and educational outlets for the youth, adults and seniors of the West Side of Chicago (specifically Lawndale, Austin and Garfield Park) and to support the Chicago Westside Music Festival, a free annual concert produced on the West Side of Chicago with intense community involvement and participation.
